Navy Awards MSE Support Services Contract
MSE has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division at Lakehurst, New Jersey. The BPA is a three-year, $5 million contract to provide technical and management support services for aircraft and aircraft carrier support equipment, support equipment recommendation data, and foreign military sales activities.
The specific types of support equipment included in the BPA include the following:
- Armament handling equipment;
- Avionics equipment;
- Cryogenics equipment;
- Aircraft handling equipment;
- Aircraft servicing equipment;
- Propulsion support equipment; and
- Fixed/rotary wing aircraft support equipment.
In addition to the support equipment and support equipment recommendation data tasks, the following specialty areas will also require support:
- Support equipment staging area;
- Support equipment installation;
- Initial outfitting;
- Propulsion support equipment;
- Engine testing;
- Test program support; and
- Pollution prevention program support.
Jim McConnell will be the project manager for this BPA.
The Naval Air Warfare Center at Lakehurst is the same Naval Air Systems Command customer that the Advanced Energy and Aerospace Division has supported for the past six years on the "Autonomous Launch Bar Seating Check Project," which has consistently received "outstanding" performance review scores from the customer. Last year, the Naval Air Warfare Center awarded MSE an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract, valued at $25 million, to initiate the testing and deployment of “Autonomous Launch Bar Seating Check Systems” on the Navy’s aircraft carrier fleet.
