Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane)

R & D directed towards demilitarization of munitions. Submit white paper. NSWC Crane is interested in receiving innovative proposals for new/improved technologies to demilitarize munitions and munitions components in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. The technical areas of interest include disassembly, removal, resource recovery and reuse (R3) destruction, waste stream treatment

$10,000 to $10 million. Funded incrementally up to three years

DOTC Organization. DoD ordnance technology consortium

Six technology sub-committees: Warheads, Explosives, Propellants, Pyrotechnics, Fuzing, Demilitarization. DOTC issues request for proposal in October, responses due December each year. Any DOTC member agency/laboratory can choose to fund an accepted proposal if they have a funding source (internal budget, appropriation, etc.)
